Because I Love You

I get up every morning, with a new dream in my eyes,
Though not very new, 'cause its always about you.
I get dressed for the day, I take extra care,
In the hope that i will catch your stare.
I know its wrong, to think only of you,
But I can't help it, because I love you.

I feel nervous, as I walk up to class,
Wishing you don't look through me, like I'm a piece of glass.
I stumble in, consumed by your thoughts I slip and let out a small cry,
That's when I catch your eye.
My heart skips a beat, when i see you walk towards me,
As I gather my stuff, whilst on my knees.
I Wish you would say that you felt it too,
I wish because I love you.

You help me up, making me wish you were mine,
I look into your eyes, and surprisingly i see them shine.
I see them shine with a light ,
That has never before been so bright.
I can feel a flush of color in my face,
Red; as though I've just run a race.
I know i should say something to you,
But you leave me tongue tied, because I love you.

You get up, I follow,
But now your eyes have shifted.
Shifted towards something behind me,
I turn, I feel a sudden ache, a tear falls.
She smiles, I smile back,
But I can see you beam with delight.
I wish i could cry, I feel I've lost you,
I wish I could cry, because I love you.

Time passes by, now I cry everyday, I cry every night,
The dream in my eyes is now broken.
The dream in my eyes is now gone,
Just like the sunlight in a storm.
I can see love for you in her eyes,I can see love foe her in your eyes,
Those eyes, which i thought carried love only for me.
I know I've lost you, I know its wrong to think of you,
No matter how hard I try, I can't stop, I can't because I love you.

But soon I realize how you're still mine,
Only now as a friend.
A friend I love, I cherish,
A friendship with no end.
I may be wrong, but I feel that our friendship is strong,
Stronger than any bond.
Now I see a new dream every night,
A dream that's clear and bright.

A dream where we are friends till the end,
A dream where we are there for each other at every twist and bend.
Now I wish you'd never go, 'cause having you here
makes me feel absolutely fine,
Thanks to you, I smile all the time.
Now I smile, because no matter what,
I still love you dear friend, and I always will.
